We would like to introduce you to some of the collections that we are featuring in our trendsetting store. Where better to start than with Planika of Poland. We first came across Planika some time ago when we were looking to create a focal point on a particular project that we were working on. We were lucky enough to be designing a lovely open plan penthouse apartment but it felt sprawling and without character or warmth and it was our aim to try and create what was missing. Very often rooms and clever seating arrangements are designed around fireplaces as there is nothing quite like the glow of a burning flame to mesmerise and entice. We had seen Planika at Decorex, an annual interior design show in London and we were interested in their bio fires. The beauty of a bio fire is that no chimney or flue are required as they burn bio ethanol fuel ,we loved Planika’s elegant contemporary designs and felt they were the perfect fit for our project.

We love this baby! It is a cylindrical element of furnishing with a white finish. According to Planika, the idea behind its creation was to come up with an attention grabbing, moveable fireplace perfect for city lofts and funky contemporary interiors. Life-orientated people looking for dazzling solutions are those who should consider making friends with Bubble!’ We love the fact that this is fabulous for either indoor living room funk or can be used to create a contemporary and sociable outdoor space, perfect for balconies and patio’s. As mentioned previously, living in an apartment has virtually always come with the realisation that a fireplace is basically unattainable.
