Large Grey Rope Dog

Description

Handcrafted Rope Dogs by local artist/sculptor Dominic Gubb using a combination of welded steel and reclaimed gym climbing rope which has been deconstructed, dyed and washed to which is then hand tied and shaped to the steel body frame to further enhance the dogs appearance and expression giving the dog a lot of character.

 

Dominic Gubb uses discarded and devalued materials to gently alter its appearance to give it a new life and purpose. Whether its leather from an old sofa or jacket or plastic milk cartons Dominic will present familiar forms in an unexpected way. Commission is also available.
